Missy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for over 20 years, with the last 6½ years dedicated to caring for patients at Gentle Family Dentistry of South Lyon. With more than three decades of experience in the dental field, she is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident about their oral health. Missy is proud to create a gentle, welcoming environment where patients of all ages feel genuinely cared for.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, biking, and cheering on her kids at their football, softball, and baseball games.

Christina is a dedicated dental hygienist who takes great pride in helping patients feel comfortable and cared for while working toward healthier, brighter smiles. She graduated from Mott Community College in 2014 and later moved to Howell, MI, where she has built a wonderful life with her family.

At home, Christina is a proud mom of two sons and a daughter, who keep her busy with their many sports and activities. She loves cheering them on and embracing all the excitement that comes with being a sports mom. Outside of work and family time, Christina enjoys spending her days baking—she’s known for making some of the best baked goods, which she often shares with the office staff. She also finds joy in gardening, tending to her plants and creating beauty right at home.

Christina’s warmth, caring nature, and dedication to her patients make her a valued part of our team, and her passion for family and hobbies outside the office bring even more joy to those around her.

Alexis graduated from Lansing Community College and has been working as a dental hygienist since 2011. Before earning her hygiene license, she spent three years as a dental assistant, giving her a well-rounded perspective and strong foundation in patient care. With her many years of experience, Alexis is passionate about helping patients achieve healthy smiles while making their visits comfortable and enjoyable.

Outside of the office, Alexis loves spending time with her husband and daughter, whether it’s enjoying family activities or simply being together at home. She also enjoys gardening, where she finds peace and creativity, and she often unwinds by listening to her favorite music.

Candy is one of our dental hygienists and a proud graduate of the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). She practiced in Canton for 18 years. She relocated to this year about 6 years ago and worked in public health serving low income patients.

She is dedicated to both her profession and her family. She is a mother of 2 daughters. One is currently attending Northern Michigan University and the other a MSU graduate! 

In her spare time, Candy enjoys traveling and motorcycle rides with her husband. She also is a dog lover! 

Lauren’s journey with our office started long before she joined the team, she was once one of our patients! Today, we’re proud to have her as an amazing dental assistant who brings kindness, compassion, and dedication to every patient she cares for. Growing up in South Lyon, MI, Lauren has strong roots in the community and takes pride in making sure every visit is a positive experience.

In October 2025, Lauren recently celebrated a very special milestone, marrying the love of her life. At home, she adores her sweet cat, Mira, who always keeps her smiling. When she’s not in the office, Lauren’s favorite way to spend her time is with family, creating memories and enjoying the little moments together.

Lauren’s warm personality, pride in her work, and genuine care for patients make her an absolute joy to be around, both for her team and for everyone who walks through our doors.

Alyssa is one of our dedicated dental assistants who first discovered her passion for dentistry while training and learning hands-on, right here in the office. Her love for teeth and patient care shines through in everything she does, making her a valued part of our team.

Family means the world to Alyssa. She shares a very close bond with her brother, who is also her best friend, and she treasures the memories of her two beloved dogs, Jake (RIP) and Lloyd. Her patients and coworkers know that Alyssa’s personality is as bright as her accessories, she takes pride in her earring collection, wearing a new pair every day, some of which are guaranteed to make you smile. Another signature Alyssa touch is her always-ready rainbow set of pens, which she carries everywhere.

Outside of the office, Alyssa is creative at heart. She loves coloring and exploring all kinds of crafts, often using her artistic side as a way to relax and recharge. Her fun-loving spirit, creativity, and true passion for dentistry make her an unforgettable part of the team.

Suzanne attended and completed dental assisting school and has enjoyed building a career where she can help patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits. She has three wonderful children, Amanda, Nicholas, and Lauryn—who have grown into a close-knit family that Suzanne is very proud of. Her greatest joy is being “Nanna” to her two grandsons, Oliver and Miles, who always keep her smiling and on her toes.

In her free time, Suzanne loves to stay active and outdoors. Whether she’s hiking scenic trails, practicing yoga, or rollerblading, she enjoys finding ways to combine fitness with fresh air. Family time is especially important to her, and she treasures spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. Her warm and caring personality shines both at work and at home, making her a valued member of the team and a friendly face patients can always count on.

Leah grew up in South Lyon, MI, and has always had a passion for working with people and making others feel comfortable. She began her career in dentistry by training on the job as a dental assistant, where she quickly developed strong skills and a deep appreciation for patient care. Her dedication to the field inspired her to take the next step in her career,she is currently enrolled in school to become a dental hygienist and is excited to expand her knowledge and continue serving patients with compassion and professionalism.

Outside of work and school, Leah enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family, who are an important part of her life. She also has a love for traveling and exploring new places. Some of her favorite destinations so far include Egypt, Aruba, and Hawaii, each experience fueling her curiosity and love for adventure. Whether she’s connecting with patients, studying to achieve her goals, or discovering new parts of the world, Leah brings positivity, warmth, and dedication to everything she does.

Ashley is one of our amazing dental assistants who brings energy and positivity to our team! She is currently enrolled in school, working toward her goal of becoming a future dental hygienist, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch her grow in her career! When she’s not helping patients feel comfortable in the chair, Ashley is our go-to fitness guru. She loves all things gym-related and is always motivating those around her to stay active and healthy. 

Kristina grew up in South Lyon and is proud to serve the community she has always called home. She graduated from Ferris State University in December 2021 and began her dental journey in August 2022. Kristina joined Gentle Family Dentistry in August 2023 and has quickly become a valued member of the team. She enjoys building relationships with patients and takes pride in helping them feel comfortable and cared for during their visits.

Kristina recently married her husband on September 20, 2024, and together they purchased their first home in Fenton, Michigan. They love spending time outdoors, whether camping, hiking, or simply enjoying nature, and they also share a passion for traveling and experiencing new places. Kristina is excited to continue growing in her career and making a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Leslie has been a proud resident of South Lyon, MI for the past 28 years and has built strong roots within her community. At the office, she takes great pride in being the first face our patients see, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they walk through the door. Her friendly smile and positive energy set the tone for each visit, and she values the connections she builds with patients and their families.

Family is at the heart of everything Leslie does. She is the proud mom of three daughters and is newly enjoying her favorite role yet, being a Grammy to four grandsons who keep her on her toes and fill her days with laughter. Outside of work, Leslie loves to spend time with her husband, whether it’s traveling to new destinations, exploring the outdoors on hikes or bike rides, or enjoying a round of golf together.

Olivia grew up in South Lyon and is proud to now serve the community she has always called home. She brings a friendly and welcoming presence to the office, helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visits. Olivia enjoys building connections with patients and being part of a team that values compassionate, high quality dental care.

Outside of the office, Olivia recently celebrated her marriage on August 24, 2024. She loves spending time with her husband and their cat, Rocky, as well as enjoying the company of family and friends.

Meet Veronica, our amazing Insurance Coordinator!

Veronica brings 15 years of experience in the dental field, making her a true expert when it comes to helping patients navigate their insurance with confidence and ease. She grew up in sunny California and made the move to Michigan in 2023, where she’s been settling into the Midwest lifestyle.
